The challenge
The front wing does some of the most important aerodynamic work on the car, and it sits in the most exposed place on it. It has to produce consistent front downforce, stay stiff at speed so it does not flex, and be light and practical to replace after contact.
Requirements
- Consistent front downforce to balance the car
- A stiff, light structure that holds its shape at speed
- Endplates that manage airflow around the front tyres
- Strong mounting to the nose and chassis
- Practical to repair or replace after contact
Our approach
The wing was modelled in CAD as a complete assembly: the main plane, the flap, the endplates and the pylons that attach it to the car. Designing it as one assembly meant the aerodynamic surfaces, the structure and the mounting all worked together from the start.

The parts were then made in carbon fibre in our workshop and assembled onto the car, so the finished wing matches the design closely and every car gets the same part.
Results
Aerodynamic parts are some of the hardest to get right, because shape, stiffness and weight all matter at once. It is the same thinking we bring to composite covers, housings and panels for our clients.
