The challenge
Bodywork is the first thing people see, but on a race car it also has to manage airflow, protect the driver and the mechanical parts, and come off quickly for servicing. On the X1 it also had to fit more than 60 chassis consistently and be practical to repair or replace after contact.
Requirements
- A consistent, accurate fit on every chassis
- Quick removal and refitting for servicing
- Light, stiff panels that hold their shape
- Smooth surfaces ready for paint, wrap and livery
- Repeatable production for a growing fleet of cars
Our approach
The body was designed in CAD together with the chassis, so every panel has a defined mounting point and fits each car the same way. The panels are made in composites in our workshop and finished ready for each team's paint or wrap.

Because the bodywork is designed and made under one roof, replacement panels match the originals and can be supplied to teams and distributors quickly.
Results
The same process suits any product that needs a light, durable and good-looking outer shell, from vehicle panels to equipment covers and enclosures.
